Nothing Is Missing

A Book About Self-Esteem, Confidence, and Belonging

I believe we all carry questions that deserve honest answers—about belonging, worthiness, and what it means to show up fully in our own lives. My debut children's book, Nothing is Missing, plants seeds of this truth in young hearts, reminding children (and the adults reading alongside them) that wholeness isn't something we find outside ourselves. It's already there, waiting to be recognized. This book represents the beginning of a larger conversation I'm committed to having through my writing: one that honors our shared humanity while insisting we're capable of remarkable growth and connection.

I write for those of us navigating the beautiful, messy work of becoming—whether we're five years old learning to name our feelings or fifty years old learning to rewrite our stories. My work explores the practical and profound: how we love better, connect more bravely, and step fully into the space we were meant to occupy in this world. Across genres and audiences, I'm dedicated to offering words that challenge the lies we tell ourselves, provide tangible practices for honoring body, mind, and spirit, and ultimately serve as invitations to both healing and transformation. My hope is that through my books, you'll feel truly seen, deeply known, and wholly accepted—exactly as you are and exactly as you're becoming.

  • "I read this book with my 4-year-old, and it impacted me in a special way. Kimberly (the author) speaks directly to the little child inside each of us — the part that still needs care and attention as we learn to parent ourselves and our children. As a Licensed Therapist and Relationship Coach, I plan to use this book to support clients’ growth as they look inward to heal themselves. Simple, sweet, and powerful — a truly valuable read."

Perfect for all ages, with stunning illustrations by E. Lindsey Hornkohl that bring the journey to life.”

  • "As a therapist, I am always looking for ways to help my clients understand their worth and value as human beings. "Nothing is Missing" has proven to be a delightful resource in this arena and is currently sitting on my lobby table. My favorite line, "The more you ask what you are missing, the more you are missing the goodness of who you already are," still brings tears. What a gem. "

  • "I am so excited to have this a resource for my daughter (and honestly for myself as well). I’m a trauma informed healthcare professional and teaching our children this type of self-worth and esteem at an early age is not just heart warming, but so important for their confidence and ability to stay true to themselves. The illustrations are captivating and it is written with such a thoughtful voice. I have a copy at home for my daughter and I keep a copy in the waiting room at my clinic for my patients."
